About the job
At L&D HUB, we believe that how you do business is just as important as what you do. That’s why we’re looking for event organizers to help us put on events that are not only professional and memorable, but also fun! The ideal candidate will have experience planning and executing a variety of events. He or she will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative, with the ability to think on their feet and solve problems quickly. The event organizer will be responsible for all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor management, and on-site coordination. Fresh and College Students are welcomed to join the team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Event organizers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
• Coordinating with venue staff to ensure that the event runs smoothly, including making sure that equipment is set up properly and that security is present as needed.
• Coordinating the event schedule with all participants in advance, including speakers and performers.
• Communicate with a variety of people throughout the planning process, including clients, vendors, suppliers and other event organizers.
• Selling tickets to the event, promoting it via social media and other channels, and gathering feedback from attendees after the event is over.
• Manage on-site logistics on the day of the event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to plan.
• Serve as a resource to event staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Handle post-event follow-up, including thank you notes, surveys, and feedback.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of event budgets, invoices, and contracts.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and ordering supplies.
Requirements

• Very good command of English and/or French.
• Team player.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Be able to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Be able to delegate tasks and ensure that everyone is working efficiently.
• Handle last-minute changes and solve problems quickly.
• Be able to work well under pressure and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
